Halmi’s Ramen Bowl
What You'll Need:
- Ramen noodles (Halmi likes Shin Ramen, but choose your favorite) 
- 2 Tbsp of neutral oil (ex: canola) 
- 2-3 scallions, chopped (for negi oil and garnish) 
- Seasoning Packet from Ramen 
- 2 cups of water 
- 1 egg (in its shell) 
- 1 tablespoon of your favorite peanut butter 
- 1 egg yolk 
- Mayo (1-2 tablespoons)(Halmi likes Kewpie, but choose your favorite) 
- Soft-boiled egg (for topping) 
How to Make It:
- Prepare Negi Oil: 
- In a pot, add oil and heat it over medium heat. 
- Throw in half of the chopped scallions and cook until fragrant 
- Seasoning the Oil: 
- Add seasoning packet from your Ramen 
- Make the Broth: 
- Add 2 cups of water into the pot and bring the mixture to a boil. 
- Cook the Egg in the boiling water: 
- Gently add the egg (in its shell) to the pot. 
- Let it cook in the broth as it comes to a boil. 
- Cook the Noodles: 
- Add the ramen noodles to the pot and cook for about 3 minutes, or according to package instructions. 
- Prepare the Soft-Boiled Egg: 
- While the noodles cook, carefully take the egg out of the pot and place it in ice water to cool. 
- Add Peanut Butter: 
- Continue to boil the noodles and stir in the peanut butter to the broth, allowing it to dissolve and mix well. 
- Prepare the Mayo: 
- In a separate bowl, add the egg yolk and a dollop of mayo. 
- Assemble the Dish: 
- Once the noodles are ready, pour the hot noodles and broth into the serving bowl over the egg yolk and mayo mixture. 
- Garnish and Serve: 
- Top with your soft-boiled egg and additional scallions for garnish.
