Hello Friends of the Wissahickon!
Many of these photos are muddy days adventuring in Carpenter’s Woods. Mixed in are hiking days across the region with our kids and students from Penn. Social Media values content that is genuine. Audiences love knowing that what they are seeing is real. Real dirt, real people, plants, leaves, and hands. We want to approach FOW's social channels as a place to get to know the Wissahickon and learn about the world outside, from the sounds of a pileated woodpecker to the tiny garnets buried in the schist. We’ll get out there are take great photos but we would also like to open photo opportunities up to the community. The Wissahickon is filled with photographers capturing birds and roots and wildflowers who would love to be featured on FOW.
